Rafi Rammoo
Undergraduate Volunteer

My name is Rafi Rammoo, and I am an undergraduate student majoring in Chemistry. I aim to attend medical school in 2026. I want to learn the pathogenesis of diabetes because it runs through my family on both my mother’s and father’s sides. As a result, I would like to work with a team of motivated individuals who share this common interest, as I desire to work for the team’s mission to understand the causes and possible treatments for T1D. I aim to understand impact of epigenetics on pancreatic islet cells and help physicians predict T1D for patients in the future.  In addition, my goal is to become a researcher pediatrician to understand pediatric diabetes and the development of Type 1 Diabetes within young individuals and newborns.
