Caridad Infante: ADA Fellow
Caridad Infante is currently a first year undergraduate student studying Biochemistry. She is an ambassador for the University of Florida’s Hispanic-Latino Affairs, an assistant director for UF’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, and an American Chemical Scholar. She became passionately fascinated with the scientific basis of medicine after completing a research internship at Florida International University’s Department of Biological Sciences, in which she surveyed coral reef isolates inflicted with Black Band Disease. Caridad aspires to earn a Ph.D. in Biochemistry in order to improve diagnostic practices and treatments for a wide range of diseases as a clinical scientist.
